Project Summary
We are searching for ten enthusiastic motivated and adaptable individuals to travel to Uganda from the 7th to 19th of August 2011. These volunteers will spend the first week of their trip building a home for one the most vulnerable family on the A-Z HIV treatment project. Last year Kenny and a team of volunteers built a home for Navueya Theresa, an inspirational local woman who has an astonishing 15 orphans in her care.
For the second week these lucky ten people well get to explore Africa like never before. They will experience Africa – on foot, on 4x4 and from the water – enjoying authentic interactions with locals and indigenous groups. This is the real Africa, as insiders know it and we'll open the doors for them. We take them on safari where they will not only be struck by the mind blowing scenery and they will be exposed to animals others have only imagined from the tv. If this isn’t enough to get their heart racing, they will finish of their 12 day adventure with an adrenaline filled water rafting stay over, down the Nile.
How To Join
A €250 deposit will be required to book your place on this project and prior to departure each participant is required to fundraise €3, 500. The deposit is included in this sum.
The Ugandan Adventure holiday build is based over a 12 day period and we cover a expenses which includes the following:
